💼 Why I’m Choosing Financial Independence as a Black Woman

Let me say this loud and clear: Depending on the system is a setup.

As a Black woman, and as an immigrant, I refuse to put my future, my family, or my freedom in the hands of a system that was never designed with me in mind.

I’m not waiting on:

🚫 The government

🚫 A man

🚫 A job to “secure” me

I’m building my OWN.

Not because it’s cute. Because it’s necessary.

Here’s what I learned:

You don’t have to quit your job to become financially independent.

But you do need to stop relying on just one stream of income.

Start that side hustle.

Sell your knowledge.

Create that digital product.

Charge for your skills.

Invest in something that GROWS while you sleep.

Because if 2020 taught us anything, it’s this:

👉🏾 One paycheck is too close to poverty.

👉🏾 They will lay you off without warning.

👉🏾 Survival is not the goal, ownership is.

💡 Financial Independence = Freedom:

✔ Control over your time

✔ Power to walk away from toxic jobs or people

✔ Legacy for your kids

✔ Safety net when life hits
