It’s not over !
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Isaiah 43:19 NIV
I saw this post on tik tok that said when you think you hit rock bottom, God is that rock for you ! I feel like I start off the new year the same and then go back to my old ways but as long as I keep God as my purpose and tunnel vision my cycle will be no more. I hope this year is starting off good for you , if not it’s still not too late to try again. Keep your hope because God is creating everything NEW for you !
Reflecting on Isaiah 43:19 and the message shared, I’ve found immense comfort in knowing that setbacks aren’t the end but rather the start of something new. When I feel like I’ve hit rock bottom, thinking of God as that unshakeable rock gives me strength to keep moving forward. The idea that God is ‘doing a new thing’ reminds me that no matter how barren or challenging life feels—like a wilderness or wasteland—there’s always hope for renewal. Personally, I often struggle with cycles of discouragement, especially at the start of a new year when I set goals only to slip back into old habits. But what keeps me grounded is the belief that God’s plan is bigger than my moments of failure. Holding onto this helps me maintain my tunnel vision; I learn to focus less on my past missteps and more on the path He is making for me. It’s empowering to realize that these ‘streams’ in the wasteland represent new opportunities and growth even in unexpected places. This message is encouraging for anyone feeling stuck or overwhelmed right now. It’s a beautiful reminder that no situation is permanent and that transformation is always possible with faith. If your year hasn’t started as planned, it’s okay to try again. Trust that God is working to create something fresh and meaningful in your life—just like making a way in the wilderness. Keeping hope alive is truly key because God’s timing and vision surpass ours, and wonderful new beginnings can spring up when we least expect them.
