$2000 loss?
Yes and no. I hesitated really hard on my entry, going in with 3 micros instead of 5 or 10. (10 = a full contract). This trade took TWO & A HALF OR SO HOURS. My LONGEST trade yet, but thankful, grateful, blessed for the win and getting closer to a payout!!! #daytrading #trader #ThroughHimTrading #accountability #profitability
In my experience with day trading, hesitation can often play a major role in how trades turn out, especially when deciding on contract size. I chose to enter this trade with 3 micro contracts rather than 5 or a full 10 contracts, which greatly affected both the risk and duration of the trade. Taking two and a half hours for this trade—the longest I've ever held a position—taught me a lot about balancing patience and decisiveness. Managing smaller contract sizes helped reduce exposure and pressure, allowing me to stay focused and calm throughout the trade. This approach also proved beneficial as it preserved capital and lowered potential losses, which is critical when trading volatile assets like micro gold contracts. The OCR data showing entries at prices like 4732.8 with slight fluctuations confirmed the importance of timing and precise trade execution. Moreover, the experience emphasized the significance of accountability and discipline, echoing the principles behind hashtags like #accountability and #profitability. By sticking to my plan and only risking what I was comfortable with, I was able to close the trade profitably despite the ups and downs. This journey closer to a payout is a reminder that slow, steady progress often beats aiming for quick, high-risk wins. For other traders, I recommend respecting your risk limits, experimenting with contract sizes, and preparing for longer holding periods if necessary. The emotional rollercoaster of a long trade is easier to navigate when risks are controlled. Above all, be grateful for wins and learn from each trade—whether it’s a loss, breakeven, or profit—as every outcome enhances your trading skill set and mental resilience.
