#GirlBag
Created a cute “Girl Bag” for my tween with the essentials (She ate the emergency chocolate 🤦🏽♀️) Items includes pads of her liking (we use always and honeypot), a mini spray deodorant, travel size frebreze on the go spray, flushable wipes, hand sanitizer, tide pen,and a travel size body mist.
I usually send her with extras in case a friend may need some. We started this when she turned 9 because I was unsure but knew she would be starting her cycle soon. She started the next year but was well prepared!
As your tween approaches adolescence, it's important to prepare her for the changes ahead. A 'Girl Bag' is not only practical but empowers her with the essentials she might need in any situation. Beyond items like pads, deodorant, and hygiene wipes, consider adding a few fun and comforting items like her favorite snack or a small toy. Adding extras can also support her friends, fostering a caring atmosphere. Make sure to create a collaborative process where your tween feels involved in selecting items for her bag. This task can help normalize conversations about puberty and make her feel more comfortable. Teaching your girl about menstruation and hygiene is crucial as she enters this new chapter. A well-stocked 'Girl Bag' can be a confidence booster, encouraging independence while showing her you're prepared for her journey into young adulthood. Always approach these discussions with sensitivity and encourage open communication. Being proactive and prepared can help ease anxieties, so she knows she can count on you when growing up presents its challenges.
