A rejection that changed my life path
“Try and fail, but don’t fail to try.” – John Quincy
This quote hits differently after everything I’ve been through.
I had a plan.
Get a stable full-time job first… then start a family.
But life had other plans.
In my last week of probation, I found out I was pregnant.
Not long after, I was let go.
Indirectly, it felt like I was being rejected… just because I was about to become a mother.
And in that moment, I kept thinking—
If pregnancy already puts me at a disadvantage…
what happens after my baby is born?
Will I have to choose between earning an income or being there for her?
That thought didn’t sit right with me.
So instead of chasing the same path again…
I decided to build a different one.
A path where:
❌I don’t have to hide my life stage
❌I don’t have to choose between time and income
❌I don’t miss the little moments that matter
That’s how I started my online business.
I’m still growing.
Financially, I’m not at my end goal yet.
But today, I have something I once feared I couldn’t have—
✨ Time with my baby
✨ A growing source of income
✨ And a life I’m building on my own terms
Looking back, that “rejection” wasn’t the end.
It was redirection.
And maybe…
the best thing that could have happened to me 🤍
