... Read moreI recently went on a Crumbl cookie adventure, and let me tell you, it's always an experience! Walking into the store, I loved seeing the big open kitchen where they bake everything fresh. The iconic pink Crumbl cookie box is truly a sight to behold—it just screams 'treat yourself!' For this visit, I decided to dive into a few of their popular flavors, some from the weekly rotation and some staples.
Starting with the Oreo tres leches, I have to agree with the 10/10 rating. This one was incredibly moist and packed with that classic Oreo flavor. It wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated, and the texture was just perfect – like a fluffy cake-cookie hybrid. Definitely a must-try if you love milky, tender desserts!
Next up was the brownie cookie, another solid 10/10 in my book. If you're a chocolate lover, this is your dream. It was rich, fudgy, and tasted exactly like a decadent homemade brownie, but in cookie form. The edges had a slight crisp, while the center was perfectly gooey.
The banana pudding cup also got a perfect score, even without actual banana pieces, which surprised me. The flavor was spot on – creamy, sweet, and comforting, just like classic banana pudding. It’s more of a dessert cup than a cookie, but it definitely hits the spot. The whipped topping was light and airy, balancing the rich pudding base.
Now, for the ones that were a mixed bag. The Reese's cookie was rated 8/10, and I can see why the original reviewer noted a 'strong peanut butter' flavor. If you're a huge peanut butter fan, you'll probably adore this. It was super indulgent, with plenty of Reese's pieces and a thick peanut butter base. For me, it was almost too much peanut butter, but still undeniably delicious if you're craving that specific taste.
The blueberry pancake cookie came in at 5/10, with the comment that it 'could have more flavor.' I felt similarly. While the texture was soft and cakey, the blueberry essence was quite subtle. I was hoping for a burst of juicy blueberry and a stronger maple or pancake-like taste. It was pleasant, but didn't quite live up to the 'pancake' promise in terms of boldness.
And finally, the iced oatmeal cookie at 3/10. Oatmeal cookies can be hit or miss, and this one, for me, leaned towards 'miss.' It lacked that warm, spicy, comforting flavor I expect from a good iced oatmeal. It was a bit bland, and the icing didn't add much to elevate it. It simply didn't have that 'wow' factor compared to the others.
Overall, Crumbl is always an adventure with their rotating menu. My tip for anyone trying them out: don't be afraid to try some of the more unique flavors, but also know your preferences. If you're sharing, cutting them into quarters is a great way to sample multiple flavors without getting too full! And remember, some cookies are best warmed up, while others, like the chilled banana pudding, are perfect straight from the fridge. Happy Crumbl-ing!
