Went and got a piercing yesterday☺️

When I got mine yesterday, I made sure to choose a reputable piercer who follows strict hygiene protocols to minimize any risk of infection. It’s crucial to communicate any allergies or sensitivities you have before the procedure so they can select appropriate jewelry. One thing I noticed immediately was the importance of proper aftercare. The piercer gave me detailed instructions to clean the piercing gently with saline solution twice daily, avoid touching it with dirty hands, and keep away from pools or hot tubs until healed. I also learned that healing time can vary depending on the piercing location, ranging from a few weeks to several months. While the initial discomfort was manageable, swelling and slight redness lasted a couple of days. I found that applying a cold compress helped reduce swelling. Also, I avoided changing the jewelry until the piercing was fully healed to prevent irritation or complications. If you’re thinking about getting a piercing, I highly recommend doing your research, asking for recommendations, and following aftercare advice closely. It’s a small change that can have a big impact on your style and confidence, but health should always come first. This journey has been both fun and a learning experience for me, and I’m looking forward to showing off my new piercing once fully healed.
