Let’s wrap a Faceted Citrine 1
Making process Part 1.
I will share Part 2 later!
I’m wrapping the gorgeous faceted citrine in this video.
The wire is solid sterling silver, made in the USA, from riogrande as always.
BTW I just finished reading “Project Hail Mary”.
Have you read it?
I never expected Grace to do that in the last scene! I’m not a sci-fi reader, but this book was really good.
And I’m still wondering what type of gems Rocky was wearing in the story… I really want to see them…

I absolutely love working with citrine, and not just because it's so beautiful to wrap! There's something truly special about having this vibrant crystal in your home. For me, a 'perfect home citrine' isn't just about aesthetics; it's about the energy it brings. Many people, myself included, believe citrine is a stone of abundance and joy. It's often called the 'merchant's stone' or 'success stone,' believed to attract wealth and prosperity. Who wouldn't want a little extra positive energy flowing through their living space? It’s a wonderful feeling to know you’ve created something beautiful with your own hands that also carries such a positive vibe. When I'm not busy wire wrapping, I often think about where to place these gorgeous gems to maximize their supposed benefits. If you're looking to bring more abundance into your life, placing a faceted citrine in your home's wealth corner (the southeast corner in Feng Shui, or often the furthest left corner from your front door) is a popular tip. Some also suggest putting it in your office or workspace to boost creativity and focus, which I find really helpful when I'm brainstorming new designs! For general cheerfulness and positive vibes, a prominent spot in the living room, a cozy reading nook, or even on a sunny windowsill can do wonders. Just remember, while citrine loves light, direct, harsh sunlight can sometimes fade natural citrine over time, so a spot with bright, indirect light is often ideal for preserving its natural glow and keeping it looking its best. Beyond its energetic properties, a beautifully wire-wrapped citrine, like the one I'm working on with that lovely sterling silver wire (using 16 ga square wire and 20 ga half round for stability and detail!), can be a stunning piece of decor. Instead of just a raw stone, transforming it into a unique pendant that can be displayed, or a small sculpture with elegant wirework, elevates it into a true art piece. Imagine your own handcrafted 'faceted citrine' creation hanging near a window, catching the light and casting beautiful, warm glows around the room, or perhaps displayed on a minimalist shelf alongside other cherished items. You could even create a small custom stand for it, or integrate it into a larger display. The versatility of a wire-wrapped piece means it can easily become a personal focal point, a conversation starter, or a subtle accent that ties a room together. It truly makes a home feel more 'you'. Caring for your citrine is quite simple, ensuring it remains a source of beauty and positive energy. I usually just give mine a gentle wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth to keep it sparkling. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, especially if it's wire-wrapped, as they can damage both the stone and the silver or other metals used. If you believe in cleansing crystals to refresh their energy, a moon bath (leaving it out under the full moon) or a quick rinse under cool, running water works beautifully. The joy of having a 'perfect home citrine' comes from both its natural beauty and the personal connection you feel to it, especially when you've crafted it yourself or chosen it with intention. I hope this gives you some wonderful ideas for making your home even more vibrant, welcoming, and filled with positive vibes with the magic of citrine!
