... Read moreSo many of you have been curious about my 'For Entertainment Only' series, especially 'Part 3'! It warms my heart to see you enjoying this little numerical journey with me. This time, I’m finally diving deep into the method behind the magic on my grid paper, and trust me, it’s all about embracing the fun and purely for entertainment purposes – absolutely no serious predictions here!
If you've seen my previous posts, you know I love filling sheets of grid paper with handwritten numbers. For Part 3, I really honed in on a specific way I observe and interact with these numbers. It starts with a simple intention: to create a visual representation of numbers that resonate with me on a particular day or week. I often pick a starting number, perhaps from a date or a random thought, and then create a sequence. It’s not about complex algorithms, but more of an intuitive flow, letting the numbers fill the columns organically.
The real fun, and what makes Part 3 unique, comes from the visual analysis. Once my grid is filled, I grab my favorite pink, blue, green, and yellow markers. Each color has its own whimsical 'meaning' to me – purely for my own amusement, of course! For example, pink might highlight numbers that feel 'lucky' or have a personal connection, blue could be for numbers that stand out in a pattern, green for numbers I encountered recently, and yellow for those I simply find aesthetically pleasing on the page. It's a personal code, a visual diary of my numerical thoughts.
Then come the circles and rectangular boxes. Circling numbers often signifies a 'focus' number for the day – something I might notice more frequently, again, all for fun. Rectangular boxes are usually for grouping numbers that form a small sequence or a visual cluster. It’s like finding constellations in a night sky, but with numbers! I find this process incredibly relaxing and a wonderful way to engage my mind without any pressure. It’s a creative outlet, almost like a form of numerical doodling.
Many of you have asked, 'What's the point?' And the point is simply enjoyment! It's about turning something as mundane as numbers into a personal game. It's a way to foster a playful relationship with mathematics without any calculations or complex problems. Think of it as a personalized numerical art project that evolves. There’s no right or wrong way to do it; the beauty is in making it your own.
If you want to try your own 'For Entertainment Only' Part 3, all you need is some grid paper, a pen, and a few colorful markers. Start with any number that comes to mind, fill your page, and then let your intuition guide your highlighting. What colors resonate with you? What shapes do you want to draw around certain numbers? Share your creations! Remember, it's all just for fun, a little escape into the world of numbers, where creativity reigns supreme and the only rule is to enjoy the process.
