SEVEN YEARS

Seven years (and a day) and (almost) four kids. Seven years, three deployments, state activation, more than a dozen jobs, many travels and adventures as a family, thousands of see you laters and I love yous as we run out for calls, trainings, activations and deployments, millions of kisses and tears.

I made vows to love you through it all and same from you to me. I love you more than I ever have and that love continues to grow. Through good and bad.

We've had countless sleepless nights, we've had many tears good and bad. We've given more kisses and looks of admiration through it all. We've seen life be born and brought into this world and lives taken to soon. We've seen things no one should have to see but we've also seen some of the most beautiful things in life together.

We promised through sickness and health. You've been there through my depression and anxiety episodes but also been there at the top of my fitness health. You have been there through my POTS diagnosis and chose to take my hand while trying to help me navigate this. You've also been there through the transformation of my body with the babies. I've tried to do that same for you.

I've been blessed with an amazing family from you both being accept into your but also growing ours. I have always hoped you felt blessed by my family but I see it in the actions. With the hugs and conversations.

I can't wait to see what God has planned for us in the future but I know it will be great and amazing. Thank you for being my hubby and choosing me every day. I will forever and always choose you. I can't wait for the next couple years and doing our vow renewal with our babies.

There isn't another person in this world I would want to walk through this life with. Seven years down and a life time to go. Here's to just over seven years, 2555 day or 61320 hours of taking your last name. I LOVE YOU ERIK TO THE END OF ETERNITY! Xoxoxo

... Read moreAnniversaries are a time for celebration and reflection. After seven years of marriage, many couples find their bond stronger than ever, enriched by shared experiences and achievements. An anniversary not only represents the time spent together but also serves as a reminder of the vows exchanged, the hardships faced, and the joys celebrated. The journey of marriage includes raising children, managing careers, and navigating life's unexpected challenges, all of which contribute to deepening the relationship. In many cultures, celebrating anniversaries involves personal traditions that help couples reconnect and reaffirm their love. Some engage in activities ranging from simple candlelight dinners to elaborate getaways, while others might choose to host gatherings with family and friends. It’s also common for couples to renew their vows, an act that symbolizes the commitment to continue cherishing and supporting one another as they move forward in life together. Emotional milestones, such as the birth of children, deployments, or significant challenges like illness, test the resilience of a marriage. Through these experiences, partners often find deeper appreciation and understanding for one another, reinforcing their support and companionship. The ability to celebrate both corners of life—the highs and lows—allows for a more meaningful bond. Despite the challenges, love is continually cultivated through gratitude, communication, and shared dreams. As couples look back on their journey, they acknowledge not just the beautiful moments but also how the difficult times have shaped their love story, making them appreciate each other even more as they anticipate what lies ahead in their future together.
