My first Genshin team lol

I quickly put together my first team, featuring characters like Kaeya, Gorou, Bennett, and Lisa, and through playing with them, I learned some crucial early-game priorities that I wish I knew from day one. Priority 1: Understanding Your Starter Squad & Elemental Reactions My team with Kaeya, Lisa, and Bennett (and later Gorou) taught me a lot about how crucial elemental reactions are. Don't just hit enemies; combine elements! For instance, using Kaeya (Cryo) and Lisa (Electro) for Superconduct was my early go-to. This reaction reduces enemy Physical RES, making your normal attacks hit harder. Learning reactions like Melt, Vaporize, Electro-Charged, and Swirl is a top priority as they are your main source of damage amplification in the early game. Let's break down my early choices: Kaeya: Your reliable free Cryo applicator. He's fantastic for setting up Superconduct with Lisa or breaking Electro/Hydro shields. A solid early game character. Lisa: She provides essential Electro damage and is surprisingly good for early-game puzzles and triggering reactions like Electro-Charged (with Hydro) or Overload (with Pyro). Bennett: A total game-changer! Even at C0, his healing and incredible ATK buff from his Elemental Burst are invaluable. He was a cornerstone of my early strategy, making tough fights much more manageable. Getting him as early as possible is a huge priority. Gorou: While I pulled Gorou early, I quickly realized he shines best in Geo-heavy teams. For new players, focusing on more versatile characters like the free ones (Kaeya, Lisa, Amber, Xiangling, Barbara) or support like Bennett is usually a higher priority initially. He's a great character, but maybe not a 'priorities first' pick for a brand new account unless you plan a Geo team from the start. Priority 2: Smart Resource Management It's tempting to upgrade everyone, but a key priority first is focusing your EXP books, Mora, and ascension materials on 2-4 main characters. Spreading your resources too thin will leave you with a team of under-leveled characters. Spend your valuable Resin wisely; in the early game, concentrate on Ley Lines for EXP books and Mora, and then character/weapon ascension materials. Don't waste Resin on farming perfect artifacts too early; you'll get better ones later. Priority 3: Embrace Exploration and Quests The main story is great, but don't rush it! Explore! Unlocking waypoints, discovering chests, and doing world quests are huge priorities first for getting Primogems, Adventure Rank (AR) EXP, and valuable resources. I loved just wandering around, and it really helped me understand Teyvat better than just rushing through the main narrative. Plus, more exploration means more rewards to build your team! Priority 4: Weapons and Artifacts (Initial Stages) For weapons, use what you have. Don't chase 5-stars immediately. Good 3-star and 4-star weapons are plentiful and perfectly viable for early content. For example, the Skyrider Sword for Kaeya or the Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers for a catalyst user like Lisa can be incredibly effective. Artifacts can be confusing initially. My advice for priorities first: focus on sets with good main stats (like ATK%, Elemental DMG Bonus, or Energy Recharge) rather than perfect substats. You'll optimize for those perfect rolls much later in the game. Looking back at my first Genshin Impact team, I realize that having these priorities straight made my journey so much more enjoyable.
