Last day of Km’s for kids, fundraising for @starshipfoundation
It’s been fun moving with a purpose esp when it’s for the kids
Participating in the Km’s for Kids fundraiser has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Over time, I've noticed how setting a personal goal—like my target of 105.5km—can keep motivation high, especially when every kilometer contributes to such a meaningful cause as the Starship Foundation. The combination of physical activity and fundraising creates a unique sense of community and accomplishment. Tracking my progress using the app not only helped me stay accountable but also connected me to fellow participants who share the same passion. For example, completing a 5.37 km run at a pace of 8:22 per km within 44 minutes and 57 seconds made me feel that each step was directly impacting the lives of children supported by the foundation. Fundraising can sometimes feel daunting, but seeing the total raised so far—$622—through sponsorship and donations offers a real boost. It’s proof that many small contributions add up to making a big difference. Encouraging friends, family, and colleagues to sponsor runs helped increase awareness and funds simultaneously. Overall, combining exercise with philanthropy proved to be both fun and purposeful. For anyone considering joining similar events, my advice is to focus on your personal milestones and enjoy the process of moving with intention. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting, every kilometer counts in supporting causes that matter. Keep moving, keep giving, and make your effort count one km at a time.
