When I started as a beginner nail tech, I often wished I had more step-by-step visuals to guide me, especially for those intricate designs. So, I’ve decided to document my journey for you, focusing on how I created these captivating blue, white, and yellow patterned nails with beautiful gold foil accents. It's a true nail art process walkthrough! Let's dive right into the magic, starting with the foundation. Step 1: The Build-Up Phase – Crafting the Canvas This is where the structure truly begins! After prepping the natural nail, I move onto the 'Build up' stage. For this particular design, I started with a strong, clear base, then applied a soft blue base layer. You can see in the close-ups how I then added rough white material over that blue – this is crucial for creating the dimension and the canvas for our patterns. It might look a bit messy at this point, but trust the process! This build-up provides the necessary strength and shape for those gorgeous long, pointed nails. It’s all about laying down the foundational layers correctly to ensure durability and a perfect silhouette. Step 2: Meticulous File Work – Shaping Perfection Once the build-up is cured (often under a UV nail lamp, which is a lifesaver!), it's time for the 'File work'.
