Homemade Chimichurri

This is just a recipe I found that someone else made.

You would typically add lemon juice but I didn’t have any so I put a splash of red wine vinegar.

You can also add or take away any ingredients to this to make your own spin of it! #chimichurri #Recipe #aldimeals

... Read moreChimichurri is a vibrant and fresh Argentine sauce that brings bold flavors to grilled meats, vegetables, and more. One of the best parts about making chimichurri at home is how easily you can tweak it to suit your taste or the ingredients you have on hand. In my experience, using a mix of fresh parsley, oregano, and cilantro really gives the sauce a signature herbaceous kick. I usually add about a tablespoon of avocado oil to keep the texture smooth and slightly creamy. Garlic plays an essential role in delivering that punchy aroma and taste; a teaspoon of freshly minced or jarred garlic can work well depending on your preference for convenience or freshness. While many traditional recipes call for lemon juice to balance out the flavors with a citrusy note, I've found that a splash of red wine vinegar can be an excellent alternative when lemons are unavailable, lending a subtle tanginess that complements the herbs nicely. Salt is crucial to bring out all the flavors, so don’t skimp on it but adjust according to your taste. Once combined, blending the ingredients until finely chopped helps the flavors meld together wonderfully and also makes it easy to spread or drizzle over your dishes. What I appreciate most about chimichurri is its versatility—feel free to add or subtract ingredients like red pepper flakes for a spicy touch, or swap out avocado oil for olive oil if preferred. It’s a perfect companion for grilled steak, chicken, roasted vegetables, or even as a zesty salad dressing. Making chimichurri at home is simple, rewarding, and a fantastic way to elevate your meals with fresh, bold flavors.
