✨FRIED LASAGNA ROLL UPS✨
✨INGREDIENTS✨
~lasagna noodles
~1lb hamburger meat
~2 cups marinara sauce
~15oz ricotta cheese
~1 cup mozzarella cheese
~1/2 parmesan cheese
~3 eggs
~1 cup flour
~2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
~Seasonings- Italian seasoning,onion/garlic powder, salt&pepper
✨HOW TO MAKE✨
First, boil 12 lasagna noodles until al dente. Don’t overcook ‘em, we’re not making mushy noodles.
Next, make your meat sauce—brown 1 pound ground beef with your seasoning then add in 3 cups marinara sauce.
In a bowl, mix together 2 cups ricotta cheese, 1 cup shredded mozzarella, ½ cup grated Parmesan, 1 large egg, and your seasonings.
Now spread your ricotta and meat mixture on each noodle, roll ‘em up tight.
Dip each roll in flour, then into 2 beaten eggs, then coat in 2 cups Italian breadcrumbs.
Heat about 2 cups of oil in a skillet and fry until crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping then ENJOY!🫶🏼
We all love a good lasagna, whether it’s a classic baked casserole or a convenient store-bought option like PC Meat Lasagna or Blue Menu Lasagna. But let me tell you, sometimes it’s fun to shake things up and try something completely new! That’s exactly what happened when I made these incredible fried lasagna roll ups, and honestly, they might just be my new favorite. What makes these fried roll ups a game-changer compared to a traditional lasagna brand? First off, the texture! That crispy, golden exterior from frying is just divine, a complete contrast to the soft, baked noodles you usually get. It turns a comforting meal into an exciting, bite-sized experience that’s perfect for parties or a fun family dinner. Plus, making them homemade means you control every ingredient, ensuring fresh, high-quality flavors that often surpass what you find pre-made. When I first thought about frying lasagna, I was a bit skeptical, but the process is surprisingly simple. You still get all the beloved elements: savory hamburger meat, rich marinara sauce, and a creamy ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese filling. The magic happens when you dip each roll in flour, beaten eggs, and then Italian breadcrumbs before frying. This creates that irresistible crust that makes each bite so satisfying. For those who love customizing their meals, this recipe is fantastic. You can easily adjust the seasonings in your hamburger meat mixture – try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a kick, or some fresh basil for extra aroma. If you're not a fan of ground beef, ground turkey or even a mix of Italian sausage would work wonderfully. And while the recipe calls for marinara sauce, don't hesitate to experiment with a spicy arrabbiata or a creamy rosé sauce for dipping. Making these has become a delightful alternative to my usual lasagna routine. It's a fantastic way to enjoy all the comforting flavors of a meat lasagna in a fun, portable format. Trust me, once you try these crispy fried lasagna roll ups, you might just find yourself reaching for this recipe before any other!
