🚢💡Cruise Cabin Essentials You Need to Pack!

After going on multiple cruises over the years, I’ve figured out a few must-haves that make your cabin way more comfortable and your trip smoother overall. Whether it’s your first cruise or your fifth, here’s what I always bring on board:

📱 Phone Lanyard

Ladies, if your outfits don’t have pockets (you know the struggle 😩), a phone lanyard is a game-changer. Slide it between your phone + case, adjust the strap, and wear it crossbody or on your wrist. Keeps your hands free without having to lug around a whole bag!

⚓ Motion Sickness Patches

They go behind your ear and last up to 3 days. SUPER helpful if your cabin isn’t mid-ship or if you’re sensitive to the waves. Trust me—worth it.

💡 Rechargeable Magnetic Nightlights

Cabins are pitch black at night 😳 These little motion-sensor lights are perfect. Stick one in the bathroom and one near the bed. Charge them during the day and they’ll light up just enough when you move around at night—especially helpful if you have kids!

🎧 Mini White Noise Machine

I can’t sleep in silence, and cruise cabins can have weird background noises (neighbors, engines, hallway traffic). I bring a small rechargeable white noise machine—it has multiple sound options and helps me sleep so much better.

🔌 Multi-Port Charger/Power Strip

Outlets are limited in cruise cabins. A small plug-in extender or USB hub makes a huge difference when you’re charging phones, watches, portable fans, etc.

🧻 Individually-Wrapped Wet Wipes

These are great for keeping in the bathroom and taking off the ship during excursions. Super handy for sticky hands, unexpected messes, and freshening up without opening a big container that dries out.

💧 Electrolyte Packets (like Liquid I.V.)

It’s easy to forget to hydrate with all the fun going on—plus the sun + alcohol + excursions = dehydration. I toss one of these into a water bottle each day to keep my energy up and avoid crashing early.

✨Little things make a huge difference when you’re sharing a small space on a big ship. Save this list for your next cruise and thank me later! ⛴️🌴

... Read moreWhen preparing for a cruise, having the right cabin essentials can greatly improve your overall experience. Beyond the items listed, consider packing a travel mug for your morning coffee or tea to enjoy on your balcony. Sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat are crucial for excursions, especially in sunny destinations, as sunburn can quickly ruin your vacation. Packing a power bank can also keep your devices charged while out exploring. Don't forget a lightweight, quick-dry towel for beach days! Ensure you have a packing checklist to avoid last-minute panic, and remember to include your important documents and any medications you may need. Just a little preparation can make your cruise more enjoyable and stress-free.

I’d like to add mini magnetic hooks and clips! So easy to hang lanyards/hats and to display the paper cruise daily itinerary!

You don’t need to pack a noise machine you can download the app right on to your phone. That is one less thing you need to pack. Some cruise lines don’t allow you to bring a power strip on to the ship so you need to check with your cruise line. If you fell like your getting see sick eat a green apple it helps with see sickness. I have been on 9 cruises.
