Book review for From Blood and Ash
I loved this book. It had the innocent/morally gray main characters, but the FMC is fierce and completely capable of taking care of herself. There's love, hatred, secrets, betrayal, and of course a cliff hanger for the next part of the series. This is a fantasy novel with mentions of gods, "the" maiden, vampyrs, unique abilities, heartbreak, etc. It did have a very small amount of spice with a little towards the beginning of the book and a little more towards the end. There is definitely more plot than spice. The pages hold you captive. I will say I was in a reading slump for a little while so it took me a little bit to get passed the first two pages, but I'm excited to read the next one.
