Pit Puppy’s 1st❄️& Life Update 🤍
Soo this is Brownie a.k.a. Bunny 🐰 bc I mean lol it’s obvious to us but yes it’s been A LOT & I wanna Talk About it
🐾so basically it’s been normal puppy stuff but she’s stronger and knows she is stronger than others
🐾we’ve been teaching her to be gentle like when giving her treats bc she’s nipped up.. & it’s FINALLY getting somewhere!
🐾it’s true they will eat until it’s nothing in sight then go find something to eat.. it’s been SOOO draining … like yall… it needs it own bullet hold on lol smh
🐾we’ve caught her eating 💩twice :( and honestly the worst thing she’s done I’m not even ready to get into…
🤍🕊️these animals can kill but they also can love and we though about giving her up to someone else who felt they could better handle her but
🐶🐾we’ve been researching and remembering what it was like with our other dogs as puppies and how far they’ve come from biting ALL the shoes n stuff *sigh* lol
I let it be up to the LORD & I extend forgiveness as soon as I can but I ALSO as firm as I can manage without at to the point of exhaustion where I give it to Jesus and literally pray for her and keep it pushing bc pups have stuff… some worse than others and ik what it’s like to see a dog abandoned and she sees us as her Mommies now and that happened quickly so yea esp bc she was taken from her mom a lil early so we just gotta thug it out 😅✊🏽🤎
She’s giving my hugs rn lol and saw me emotional writing this #puppyadvice #pitbullpuppy #pitbull #dogs #dogmomsoflemon8
Bringing home a pit bull puppy like Brownie is a rewarding yet demanding experience. Puppies, especially strong-willed breeds like pit bulls, require not only consistent training but also a lot of patience and understanding to navigate their early behavior challenges. One common struggle for new puppy owners is teaching bite inhibition—essential for pups who tend to nip while playing or during treat time. Positive reinforcement and gentle but firm guidance help puppies learn boundaries. Another typical puppy hurdle is dietary indiscretion, including episodes of eating feces, which can be frustrating but often stems from curiosity or nutritional deficiencies. Monitoring your puppy closely and consulting a vet for appropriate dietary adjustments can alleviate this issue. Remembering not to villainize your pit puppy despite such quirks is crucial for a trusting, loving relationship. Brownie’s story highlights how early separation from the mother can impact behavior, making the role of the new family even more significant in forming a secure attachment. Offering forgiveness, setting clear limits, and maintaining consistency in routines fosters confidence and good behavior over time. Researching breed-specific traits and recalling previous dog ownership experiences also empower owners to handle typical puppy antics more calmly. Above all, embracing the journey—with all its ups and downs—and relying on support from communities like #puppyadvice and #dogmomsoflemon8 enhances the joy of raising a pit bull puppy. If you’re considering adding a pit bull puppy to your family, remember the power of patience, prayer, and perseverance in overcoming the hurdles. These intelligent and affectionate dogs can grow into loyal companions with the right nurturing environment and emotional support.
