... Read moreHey fellow Simmers! I'm so excited to dive deeper into my latest creation, the 'Base Game Coastal Home' that you can snag from the gallery right now. Building this house was such a joy, and I really wanted to make something beautiful and functional that everyone could enjoy, regardless of how many expansion packs they own. That's why I prioritized using only base game items – no extra packs needed to get this gorgeous seaside vibe! When designing this coastal retreat, my main goal was to blend open, airy spaces with cozy, private areas, perfect for a growing family or even a group of roommates. Let's talk floor plans, because I know that's what many of you look for! First Floor Functionality: As you step onto the inviting front porch, you're greeted by a spacious entryway that flows directly into the heart of the home. I designed an open-concept living room and dining area, ideal for entertaining or just relaxing with your Sims. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a handy pantry, making cooking a breeze. There's also a main bathroom conveniently located on this floor. Plus, I managed to squeeze in a walk-in closet near the entrance – perfect for all those coats and shoes! Second Floor Serenity: Upstairs, you'll find the more private quarters. This house comfortably features two additional bedrooms, making it a fantastic option for families or friends sharing a home. One of these could easily be a dedicated kids' room, while the other offers flexibility, perhaps as a guest room or a creative space. I also included a dedicated office area – super important for those Sims climbing the career ladder or working from home! And of course, a second full bathroom ensures everyone has their space. Exterior Charm & Practicality: The exterior was just as important to me. Imagine your Sims waking up to an ocean backdrop! This charming white coastal house, complete with classic palm trees and a welcoming white picket fence, truly brings that beachy feel. I've placed it on a compact yet functional 20 x 20 lot, which makes it suitable for many neighborhoods. And for those car-loving Sims, yes, there's even space for a 4-car garage area! The lot value comes in at a very reasonable $93,795, making it accessible for mid-range Sims households. I really focused on creating a versatile and aesthetically pleasing home that feels light and open. Whether you're looking for a relaxing beach house, a family home, or even a shared space for multiple Sims, I think you'll find this build fits the bill. Head over to the gallery and search for 'SimiSim_Sim' to download it today! I can't wait to see what memories your Sims make in this coastal sanctuary. Happy Simming!
