We deserve better
All women deserve the right to freedom: the freedom to make their own decisions, the freedom to be who they are, to live free from the fear of harm of any sort, etc. Us American women (especially those of us that are marginalized and even more especially black women who clearly understood what was at stake), we deserve better than what came to pass in November.

After the election, I felt compelled to channel my feelings into drawing this illustration. As a woman of color, I felt so betrayed. I still feel betrayed, but we must keep moving, creating, speaking out, living. Live in the face of adversity and make them watch us thrive even if they keep trying to silence us.
