Simon TAN

30 years of international leadership experience, I bring deep expertise in strategic growth, market expansion, and scaling businesses across both multinational corporations and high-growth startups. My career has been defined by building high-performance teams, developing strong partner ecosystems, and driving enterprise-level customer success across APAC and global markets.

I have led and contributed to transformation initiatives across multiple technology domains, including multimodal agentic AI, Physical AI, telecommunications, cybersecurity, cloud and software platforms, ICT infrastructure, storage and backup solutions, and digital media technologies. Beyond core technology leadership, my experience extends into managed and professional services, consulting, PR, out-of-home media, and interactive digital platforms, giving me a broad, ecosystem-level perspective on how innovation translates into real business value.

Having held leadership roles across organizations such as Logicalis, Gigamon, APCON, Singtel, MINDEF Singapore, Zentek, AdaptiveMobile Security (ENEA), vArmour, Aqua Security, and now Reka AI, I have developed the ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-moving markets. I am comfortable navigating ambiguity, building new markets from the ground up, and scaling revenue in highly competitive environments.

A key strength I bring is the ability to connect strategy with execution. As an engineer by training, a storyteller by instinct, and a business leader by profession, I translate technical innovation into clear business outcomes for customers, partners, and investors. I focus on aligning technology vision, go-to-market strategy, and operational discipline to create sustainable growth.

Throughout my career, I have cultivated a strong global network of partners, customers, and industry leaders, particularly across the APAC region thereby enabling me to accelerate partnerships, unlock new market opportunities, and build long-term value ecosystems.

My leadership philosophy is grounded in accountability, clarity, and collaboration. I believe in building cultures where teams understand both the “why” and the “how,” where execution quality matters, and where people are empowered to grow alongside the business. I lead with strategic intent, operational pragmatism, and a strong commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes for organizations and the communities they serve.

At this stage of my journey, I remain deeply motivated by building impactful businesses, mentoring the next generation of leaders, and helping organizations harness emerging technologies, particularly AI and in ways that are responsible, scalable, and transformative.

Having witnessed his approach, I can say that his ability to mentor and guide startups through complex market challenges is truly valuable. Simon's focus on building high-performance teams not only accelerates growth but also fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration that is often missing in tech ventures. His experience across diverse sectors such as telecommunications, cloud platforms, and digital media highlights the importance of an ecosystem-level perspective. For anyone navigating tech-driven transformations, Simon's strategy to align technology vision with go-to-market execution offers crucial insights. This is particularly relevant for companies looking to venture into emerging fields like multimodal agentic AI and Physical AI, where the landscape is fast-evolving. From personal experience, connecting with industry leaders who emphasize operational discipline alongside strategic intent can make a significant difference. Simon’s mentorship, especially in AI cybersecurity, reminds us that responsible and scalable innovation requires clear communication and a strong partner network. His leadership style, emphasizing "understanding the why and the how," has inspired many teams I've collaborated with to excel beyond mere technical delivery. Moreover, the integration of AI in cybersecurity, a key theme in Simon's profile, reflects a growing trend shaping tech stocks and investment priorities. By focusing on transformative technologies while nurturing ecosystem partnerships, Simon exemplifies how leaders can unlock new market opportunities and sustain long-term value creation across complex, competitive environments.
