I woke up in a funk, a bad mental health day.
As a dad I'm gifted an opportunity to play like a kid again and its acceptable 😆
the highlights of my day or week is more often than not watching her play or playing with her or even better watching my beautiful wife @Blyn Designs play with her.
Find, Joy in the little things
like watching your kid dig for worms
or slowing down enough to help teach them how to ride faster or to catch or play with a ball. find your why. and live for that why.
As a father, I’ve found that the act of playing with my child doesn't just bring joy to her day but deeply enriches mine as well. On days when mental health feels challenging, engaging in simple activities like watching my daughter dig for worms or teaching her how to ride a bike faster offers a refreshing break from the hustle. It’s amazing how much perspective you gain when you allow yourself to be present in these little moments. I've learned that it’s not about creating grand experiences but rather cherishing these small, authentic connections that can uplift your spirit. Sometimes, letting go of grown-up worries and seeing the world through a child’s eyes is the best form of therapy. Watching my wife interact so lovingly with our daughter also reminds me of the importance of family bonds in nurturing emotional resilience. These everyday joys reinforce my purpose as a dad and fuel my motivation during tough times. If you’re feeling low, try focusing on these simple pleasures—it could be as easy as slowing down long enough to play catch or just being there for your child as they explore. Finding your why may start with these small steps, but it transforms your entire outlook on life.
