Day 2: Luke 17:4
This one was VERY Interesting.
Jesus is talking to his disciples and told them if someone sins against you 7 times and comes to you and says they’ve changed their ways you MUST forgive them 7 times.
Forgiveness is unlimited and unconditional.
How many times have we said I’ll give you one more chance and that’s it? After that, you’re done. I know I have.
But has God done that to us? Has he said ok I forgive you but this is the last time?
Never.
Forgiveness is not only for the other person but it is for you. The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. We must extend the same grace we have been extended.
In today's world, the concept of forgiveness can often feel challenging, especially when faced with repeated wrongs. Luke 17:4 emphasizes Jesus' call to forgive limitlessly, encouraging us to reflect on our relationships and the grace we've received. This passage teaches that true forgiveness is a reflection of God's mercy toward us, inviting us to let go of grudges and resentment. Seeking the Kingdom of God involves recognizing our own need for forgiveness and sharing that with others.
