Finding the right Smarthome Product

Two years ago, I started Simplifysmart Solutions with only $800 in my bank account and a simple goal — to build reliable smart homes that truly improve people’s lives.

When I first entered the smart home industry, I realised many homeowners were overwhelmed by the huge number of products available online. Everyone was selling “smart” devices, but not every product was actually reliable, stable, or suitable for Singapore homes.

One of the biggest challenges I faced in the beginning was finding the right product supplier. I spent countless hours researching, testing different brands, and speaking with various suppliers because I didn’t want to offer products that would disappoint my customers after installation.

Many products looked impressive on paper, but once tested in real homes, they lacked stability, had poor connectivity, or simply weren’t built for long-term use. I knew that if I wanted to build a trustworthy smart home company, I needed products that were reliable, practical, and easy for homeowners to use daily.

After a long search, I finally discovered Kinetic smart home products — and that changed everything for me.

What stood out immediately was the reliability and consistency of the products. Unlike many generic smart home devices in the market, Kinetic products were designed with stability, compatibility, and user experience in mind. The setup was smoother, the performance was more dependable, and most importantly, customers found them genuinely useful in their everyday lives.

One feature that impressed me the most was the Kinetic switches themselves.

These switches are completely battery-free and self-powered using kinetic energy. Every press generates its own energy to send the signal, meaning there’s no need for batteries, charging, or constant maintenance.

This also means homeowners don’t have to worry about battery replacements years down the road.

The switches are also built for long-term durability, capable of withstanding over 100,000 presses while remaining highly responsive and reliable. On top of that, they are IP-rated, making them suitable for Singapore’s humid environment and even areas where moisture resistance is important.

Another huge advantage is the flexibility during installation.

Because the switches are wireless and self-powered, homeowners are no longer restricted by traditional switch wiring locations. In many cases, there’s no need to hack walls or run additional wiring just to install extra switches.

You can place switches conveniently where they actually make sense for your daily lifestyle.

For many homeowners, this creates a much cleaner and more flexible smart home experience compared to conventional systems.

One thing I always tell customers is:

“A smart home should simplify your life, not complicate it.”

From my experience, the tropical climate here demands products that can withstand humidity and moisture without losing functionality. That's one reason I trust kinetic energy-powered devices—they are IP-rated and built for durability in such conditions. Furthermore, smart appliances should seamlessly integrate into daily routines without adding complexity. Wireless and battery-free switches bring immense convenience as they allow flexible placement around your home without the hassle of rewiring or constant maintenance. This flexibility can transform your smart home experience by enabling you to control devices exactly where you need them the most. Also, when you invest in smart products in Singapore, prioritize those tested locally or designed with the region’s infrastructure in mind. Generic devices might impress in marketing but often falter in real-world use here due to connectivity or environmental factors. Choosing reliable suppliers who stand behind their products helps avoid disappointment and costly replacements. Finally, always consider user experience: ease of installation, stable connectivity, and long-term support. These factors ensure your smart home continues to serve you smoothly without unexpected disruptions. In my journey, focusing on these aspects has made all the difference in building trust with customers and creating smart homes that truly simplify life in Singapore.

💧 My <$600 Smart Water Dispenser Setup
When I was renovating my kitchen, I really wanted a sleek, instant hot & cold water dispenser — but most of the off-the-shelf brands in SG like Wells was all $3K+ 😭 I really liked the design of Wells and almost bought into it, but my kitchen is tiny, so countertop space was a big concern. Th
