Five steps for silky smooth legs 🪒✨

Here’s my go-to routine for silky-smooth results (even in sweater weather🙏🏾).

After washing legs with antibacterial soap…

1. Exfoliate → Remove off dead skin + bacteria for a flawless shave.

Tip: Grab a fun scrub at Ross or Five Below. Use 1–2x/week max.

2. Shave with shaving cream → Glide easy means no cuts or no bumps.

Pro move: Fresh razor + shave with the grain. (P.S. Men’s razors are sharper!)

3. Lotion → Instant hydration and calm skin after shaving.

My favorite: Eucerin (locks in moisture like no other!).

4. Apply oil → Seal in moisture and enjoy the silky shine.

Faves: Jojoba or argan oil are great for skin (grab at Ross for cheap!).

5. Show them off → Bare legs time! 💃

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen my go-to 5 steps for incredibly smooth legs, but let's dive even deeper! Getting that truly silky, glowing look isn't just about a quick shave; it's about understanding your skin and giving it what it needs. I've learned a few extra tricks over the years that take my leg care from good to absolutely amazing, ensuring my legs are always ready to be shown off, no matter the season. First, let's talk more about exfoliation. While a 'fun scrub' is great, I’ve found that the type of exfoliation can make all the difference for achieving truly smooth legs after shaving. For me, incorporating an exfoliating glove into my shower routine once or twice a week, in addition to a good *body scrub*, helps slough off dead skin cells more thoroughly. I also dabble in dry brushing legs routine on non-shower days. It's a game-changer for circulation, lymphatic drainage, and honestly, makes my skin look so much more vibrant and contributes to that smooth glowing legs aesthetic. It's like a mini-massage that preps your skin beautifully for whatever comes next. When it comes to shaving, I totally stand by the advice about a fresh razor and shaving with the grain first, especially if you're prone to irritation. My pro tip? After shaving with the grain, if you're looking for an extra close shave, apply more shaving cream and then go against the grain, but *very gently*. This two-pass method helps get that super smooth finish without causing too many issues. And don't forget to rinse your blade often! A clogged blade means more tugging and a less effective shave, leading to ingrown hairs and razor bumps. I keep a dedicated razor just for my legs to ensure it's always sharp and ready. Now, for hydration – this is where you lock in all that hard work! Applying a rich lotion immediately after patting your legs dry is crucial. Your skin is most receptive to moisture then. I layer my products, starting with a hydrating lotion (like Eucerin, it’s truly a miracle worker!) followed by a nourishing *body oil*. This layering technique ensures deep moisturization and seals everything in, leaving your legs feeling hydrated and looking incredibly shiny. For those of us aiming for smooth shiny legs skincare, this step is non-negotiable. I find jojoba or argan oil perfect as they absorb beautifully without feeling greasy. Finally, to achieve that 'smooth legs aesthetic' and even-toned look (what some might call 'how to get white legs' in terms of brightness and evenness), consistency is key. Beyond the routine, staying hydrated internally by drinking plenty of water makes a huge difference. I also use a subtle body bronzer or a lotion with a hint of shimmer if I want an extra glowing boost for a special occasion. And for persistent ingrowns or dry patches, I keep a salicylic acid treatment or a thick balm handy. These small additions truly elevate your smooth legs skincare routine, ensuring your legs are not just smooth, but truly radiant and healthy-looking all year long!

i love using the truly after shave oil. its a bit expensive but a little goes an extremely long way! i recommend the pump because its easier and its HUGE but i definitely think its worth the price for the size and how long it lasts
