I think I’m in my “I just want less” era.
Less stuff sitting around that I don’t use.
Less rushing from one thing to the next.
Less buying things just because they’re cute or on sale.
Less noise.
Less pressure.
Less feeling like I should always be doing something.
And strangely enough, wanting less has made me appreciate what I already have so much more.
I’m not trying to become a hardcore minimalist.
I’m definitely still keeping the things I love. 😂
I just want my home—and honestly my life—to feel a little lighter.
Minimal-ish.
Simple.
Intentional.
And still very much lived in. 🤍
I've found that embracing a "minimal-ish" lifestyle doesn't mean giving up everything; it's more about consciously choosing what truly adds value to my life. For example, I love soft blankets and dim lights that create a cozy atmosphere, which helps me unwind after a busy day. Incorporating comforting smells like pumpkin spice vanilla or fresh coffee into my home environment helps me feel grounded and joyful. Rather than rushing through my days, I've started prioritizing quiet moments, like listening to ocean waves or rain at night, which reset my soul and inspire calmness. It's also important to me to allow myself the space to rest, take up room, and appreciate simple pleasures like reading a good book. These small, intentional choices bring me comfort and remind me that it's okay not to fill every moment with activity or noise. Choosing less also means resisting the urge to buy impulsively just because something is cute or on sale. Instead, I focus on what I truly love and what feels right for my home and lifestyle. This approach has helped me feel less pressure and more control over my surroundings. Minimalism, for me, isn’t about perfection but about living intentionally and allowing joy to come from the things and experiences that matter most.
