Okay, so you've nailed your home screen, but don't forget your lock screen! For my iPad mini, I wanted something truly personal. You saw that purple background with my name, 'TEEMARIE,' and the collage of polaroid-style photos? I actually made that myself in Canva! It’s super easy to create a custom lock screen that sets the whole mood before you even unlock your device. Think about adding your favorite quotes, a mood board, or even a subtle pattern that complements your home screen theme. This is one of the best iPad decoration ideas to make your device uniquely yours right from the start. While I love using iScreen for those cute picture widgets (like my purple stones, the sleeping cat, or that yummy-looking purple drink!), there are so many other ways to boost your iPad's aesthetic and functionality. Ever thought about a minimalist clock widget? Or a weather widget that blends seamlessly with your chosen color palette? Apps like Widgetsmith or Color Widgets offer tons of options. You can even add small, transparent widgets to create more breathing room between your custom app icons, giving your layout a super clean, organized feel. It’s all about finding useful widgets that also look good! Creating custom app icons is a game-changer! I mentioned using Procreate for my butterfly and bow icons, which gave my iPad a truly unique touch. But if Procreate isn't your thing, don't worry! There are online icon packs you can buy or even free resources on Pinterest. When picking icons, think about consistency. Do you want them all to be monochrome? Pastel? Retro? Sticking to a theme makes your iPad look professionally designed, even if you did it all yourself with the Shortcuts app. Don't forget to organize them into folders (with custom icons too!) for a truly polished look that keeps all your apps tidy. Sometimes, the hardest part is figuring out what 'vibe' you want! For iPad decoration ideas, I always head to Pinterest or Instagram. Search for '#ipadsetup,' '#aestheticipad,' or even specific color palettes like '#lilacaesthetic'. Seeing how others arrange their widgets and icons can spark so many ideas. Don't be afraid to mix and match elements until you find what truly makes your iPad feel like an extension of you. Remember, your iPad is a reflection of your personality, so have fun with it and let your creativity shine through in every detail! Finally, a little tip: update your iPad's aesthetic seasonally or whenever your mood changes! It's a fun project, and with the Shortcuts app and iScreen app, it’s surprisingly quick to swap out wallpapers, icons, and widgets. Keep a folder of your favorite custom assets ready to go so you can easily switch up your look. Happy customizing and enjoy making your iPad truly one-of-a-kind!
