How I Clean & Refresh My iPhone

There’s something so satisfying about starting a new month with a fresh phone 🧼📱✨

For my July refresh, I removed my old case, cleaned my iPhone 15 Pro Max, and applied a new screen protector + clear case with tiny purple bows 💜🎀

🧼 Here’s what I used to clean my phone:

• A microfiber cloth

• Water (in the cleaner kit)

• A new tempered glass protector

• 2 in 1 Cleaner Kit

💡 How often do I do this?

I try to deep-clean and refresh my phone every month, especially when switching cases or if the screen starts feeling dull or sticky.

✨ 2 Takeaways:

— Always clean your phone before applying a new screen protector to avoid bubbles

— A clear case keeps it minimal while still showing off accessories (like bows!)

Save this if you’re planning your next tech refresh. 🍃

... Read moreAfter giving my iPhone a thorough physical refresh, I realized that a truly 'new phone' feeling isn't just about a spotless screen and a clean case – it's also about how your digital space feels. That's why, alongside my monthly deep cleaning, I also dive into customizing and managing my device's software. It's like giving your phone a spa day, inside and out! One of my favorite ways to personalize my iPhone and make it feel truly mine is by using color widgets. If you haven't explored them yet, you're missing out on a fun way to express your style and make your home screen more functional. I started experimenting with apps like Widgetsmith and Color Widgets, which allow you to create custom widgets with different fonts, colors, and layouts. You can display anything from your calendar and weather to photos and battery life, all tailored to match your aesthetic. I love setting up a vibrant stack of widgets for my daily essentials, making information instantly accessible and my phone visually appealing. It's super easy to add them: just long-press anywhere on your home screen, tap the '+' icon in the top left, and browse through the widget options. It really transforms the entire look and feel of your phone, giving it a fresh, personalized touch. Beyond aesthetics, I also prioritize my phone's digital health through diligent device management and security, especially when it comes to online privacy. After all, what’s the point of a sparkling clean phone if your digital footprint isn’t protected? I've learned the importance of using a VPN (Virtual Private Network), especially when I’m connecting to public Wi-Fi networks in cafes or airports. A VPN helps encrypt my internet connection, masking my IP address and protecting my personal data from potential snooping. It gives me incredible peace of mind knowing my online activities are more secure. Setting one up is usually straightforward, often through a dedicated app or directly in your iPhone's settings under General > VPN & Device Management. Speaking of device management, I regularly check my iPhone's settings to ensure everything is running efficiently and securely. This includes reviewing my app permissions to see which apps have access to my location, photos, or microphone, and adjusting them as needed. I also make sure to keep my iOS software updated, as these updates often include crucial security patches. Occasionally, I'll even dive into my storage settings (Settings > General > iPhone Storage) to offload unused apps or clear out old photos and videos. It's all part of maintaining a healthy, fast, and secure device. Combining these digital refresh steps with my physical cleaning routine truly gives my iPhone that ultimate 'new phone' feeling every single month.
