iMac March Monthly Refresh 🍀💜

Dear, SweeTees 💌💜

One thing about me… I love a little digital refresh. 🫶🏽

Since Valentine’s season is over, it was time to transition my iMac from soft pinks and hearts to something a little more fresh for March. So today’s mini reset was turning my desktop from Valentine’s vibes → St. Patrick’s Day aesthetic.

Nothing dramatic. Just a cute little tech refresh.

Here’s what I did:

• Updated my wallpaper using iOS 26 customization features

• Created aesthetic widgets using Color Widgets

• Pulled cute themed images from Pinterest for the widget photos

• Rearranged everything so my desktop feels clean and seasonal again

I keep my folder style default right now because the beta I’m using won’t let me change it yet. Beta life… we move.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s just making my digital space feel new, calm, and a little more fun to look at.

Because honestly… we stare at our screens all day. They might as well be cute.

💜 Mini Must-Knows

• Widget photos can be anything — Pinterest is great for aesthetic icons, quotes, or themed photos.

• Monthly refreshes help keep your desktop from feeling cluttered or boring. Even small changes make your setup feel brand new.

• If you’re testing beta software, some customization features may temporarily disappear. That’s normal while updates are being tested.

Your tech should work for you and look good while doing it.

Save this if you want to start doing your own monthly tech refreshes, and follow along if you love simple tech tips and aesthetic setups.

-Sincerely,

Tee 💜🫶🏽

... Read moreKeeping your digital workspace visually fresh can have a surprising positive impact on your mood and productivity. I personally find that changing my desktop background and widgets each month not only keeps things interesting but also helps set the tone for the month ahead. For my March refresh, I focused on embracing the St. Patrick’s Day theme without overwhelming my space with clutter. One tip I highly recommend is using apps like Color Widgets to add personalized, themed widgets that blend perfectly with your wallpaper. These can include inspirational quotes, calendars, or simply beautiful photos that resonate with the season. Pinterest is a treasure trove of aesthetically pleasing images that can complement your desktop layout beautifully. If you're running beta software like iOS 16 beta or macOS previews, be aware that some customization features may be temporarily restricted or glitchy. But don’t let that discourage you; these phases are part of the journey to a more stable system. Keeping your folder styles simple and default during beta testing is a practical approach until full support returns. Finally, regular digital refreshes—whether monthly or quarterly—help prevent your desktop from feeling stale or chaotic. I’ve noticed that when my workspace feels calm and inviting, my focus sharpens and my motivation increases. This little tech ritual is my way of showing my devices some love to make screen time feel more enjoyable and less taxing. After all, since we spend so much time looking at our screens, making them visually appealing and functional is a smart self-care step.
