Just a Bat Eating a Cow
Join me on my weight loss journey
When I decided to truly commit to my weight loss journey, after realizing I had gained weight and needed a significant change, I looked into various approaches. That's when I stumbled upon the animal-based diet, and it really resonated with me. The idea of simplifying my meals and focusing on nutrient-dense foods from animal sources felt incredibly appealing, especially for someone who loves meat like me. It wasn't just about restricting, but about embracing wholesome, satisfying foods. My daily meals now revolve around high-quality animal proteins and fats. For instance, a favorite of mine is preparing a delicious sirloin flap. I make sure to cut it correctly, often against the grain, to get the best texture and flavor. It’s incredibly satisfying and keeps me full for hours, which is crucial when you’re trying to manage your calorie intake without feeling deprived. I focus on grass-fed options whenever possible, believing in the quality of what I put into my body. While some people on a strict carnivore diet avoid all plant matter, I'm trying to make it as animal based as I physically can handle, allowing for very minimal additions if they don't cause issues. Breakfast has become a highlight. I absolutely adore soft-boiled eggs. There's just something about that rich, creamy yolk – oh my goodness, it’s divine! And yes, my mom used to tell me not to eat from the knife, but sometimes that yolk is just too good not to get every last bit! These eggs provide such a fantastic start to the day, packed with essential nutrients that fuel me without any sugar crash. Sometimes I'll add a sprinkle of sea salt or a dash of hot sauce, but the simplicity of a perfect soft-boiled egg is hard to beat. Another luxurious touch I've added, which truly makes this journey feel special, is incorporating red caviar. It's not an everyday item, but on days I want to treat myself or boost my nutrient intake, a spoonful of caviar adds a wonderful burst of flavor and healthy fats. It feels indulgent while still aligning perfectly with my animal-based principles. This diet isn't just about cutting things out; it's about embracing incredibly delicious and nourishing foods that make you feel truly satisfied. The goal for me is to make it as animal-based as I physically can handle, focusing on feeling good, having sustained energy, and of course, seeing the numbers on the scale go down. I've found that eating this way drastically reduces my cravings for processed foods and keeps my hunger in check. It’s surprising how much mental clarity I’ve gained too. It's not just about losing weight; it's about feeling stronger and healthier overall, both physically and mentally. If you're thinking about trying an animal-based approach, I'd suggest starting slowly. Focus on quality meats, eggs, and healthy fats. Don't be afraid to experiment with different cuts of meat or types of seafood. Listen to your body and adjust as needed. Hydration is key, and ensuring you get enough electrolytes, especially in the beginning, can make a huge difference. It's a personal journey, and finding what works best for you is paramount. For me, embracing this "carnivore" way of eating has transformed how I view food and my body. It's challenging at times, but the benefits I've experienced so far make it incredibly worthwhile. I'm excited to continue sharing my progress and discoveries as I move forward with this lifestyle.
