You first encounter her in Liurnia, guarding the Cathedral of Manus Celes. She'll fly away after taking some damage, but don't fret! You'll find her again later, perched near the Moonlight Altar, where the real fight begins. Knowing her locations is half the battle for preparation, especially for that final showdown. From my experience, Adula is vulnerable to physical damage, especially piercing attacks, but focusing on magic defense for yourself is key. She builds up Frostbite, so having countermeasures like Thawfrost Boluses can be a lifesaver. Stamina management is crucial for dodging her relentless attacks. Don't forget, she's a dragon, so targeting her head for critical hits when she's staggered is super effective – it often opens her up for a devastating blow. Adula's moveset is diverse. Her Glintstone Breath is devastating, so sprint to her side or behind her when she winds it up. Her tail swipes are fast, but telegraphic – roll towards them. She also casts various Glintstone sorceries; watch for the charge-up animations and roll through them at the last second. She often takes to the sky for a dive attack or to unleash a volley of magic. When she flies, I found it best to lock off and sprint to create distance, then re-lock as she descends. Trust me, learning these patterns saves a lot of Flask of Crimson Tears! For talismans, I found the Opal Blessing talisman useful for general damage negation, but really, talismans that boost magic resistance (like the Spelldrake Talisman) or increase stamina recovery are far more impactful against her. As for offensive options, if you're a Faith build, Taker's Flames (the weapon art from the Blasphemous Blade) is fantastic! It has decent range, good damage, and can often stagger her, interrupting her attacks. For sorcerers, Swift Glintstone Shard or Loretta's Greatbow for ranged harassment work well. Melee users should stick to fast weapons and aim for the legs/head whenever possible. Don't be shy about using Spirit Ashes!
