The first Lasik review in my life 👀 Did Femto Lasik hurt? Worth it? 🧐

Hello everyone 🥰. Today I will review and share the first experience of Lasik in my life! I can say that I want to do it for a long time and when I finish it I feel like "I know this has been done for a long time!" 😭💖

✨ Our eyesight started short from Secondary 2, and then we started wearing glasses and practicing wearing contact lenses for a total of 14 years. We stopped wearing contact lenses for about three years because we intended to make a lasik, mainly focusing on eyespots. The latest sight was short 550, inclined 100 on both sides.

🏥 We decided to do Lecik at Yanhi Hospital with Doctor Yong, because my brother and girlfriend did it with both doctors, so I feel confident. We didn't check immediately, but went to check the eye condition first if you can do it. Once the result, see the doctor to discuss what kind of Lecik we are suitable for (ours can do all kinds). Then come back to decide and call the operating queue.

👀 Lecik's Day (We get to the hospital before 8: 00)

It starts with a very important procedure, then see the doctor. We check it all twice. It's the day of the examination and the day of the operation. Every Czech procedure is very detailed, measuring the eyesight, corneal thickness, eye dryness and eye pressure to see if we can do the lesique (some corneas may need the doctor to evaluate other methods instead).

👁️ in the operating room: Does it hurt?

Hurt: 0 / 10 Doesn't hurt at all!

Because many anesthetic drops before entering the room. And before doing it, the doctor drops it again.

Feelings: Excited 10 / 10!

Because we can see everything while doing it, but the doctor is very kind, always explaining what steps to look at the light (secretly whispering that the nurse saw us excited, so took a soft ball to squeeze, haha)

When you do it, you feel tight, gently pressed on your eyes, and when you lock the laser, you see a flash of light and a faint smell of fire. It takes less than five minutes to finish!

👁️ symptoms immediately after

When getting out of bed, everyone can see clearly, but will feed like looking through a thick fog or with a fluffy yellow filter (a normal symptom). The nurse will put a cover to keep us from rubbing our eyes, then receive the medicine, listen to how to take care of ourselves, then the officer will take you up to the room (we booked with a room for one night).

👁️ first 1-3 hours (Worth torment)

When the anesthetic is exhausted, tears will flow almost constantly. Eye pain, eye pain, eyes like there are hundreds of grains of sand in the eye. Recommended to take painkillers and sleeping pills and sleep for a long time. 😴 When you wake up in the evening, the pain is almost absent, and it starts to see more clearly.

☀️ The next morning, wake up to a new world that is 1000% brighter! There may be a few slacks, but it will gradually improve. After opening the cover and cleaning the eyes, go down for the doctor to check again and go home. (Our doctor will make a follow-up appointment again after 2 months)

📝 care after Lecik

✅ Do not use your eyes for the first 24 hours (should focus on sleeping)

✅ be careful not to let water or sweat into your eyes for 7 days.

✅ refrain from makeup. Apply eye cream for 7 days.

✅ have to wear a cover every night for seven days.

✅ drops with artificial tears for 7 days (continuous drops of artificial tears to keep eyes dry)

✅ abstained from swimming 1 month / scuba diving 3 months

✅ wear sunglasses every time you go out (first 1 month, the eyes are very sensitive to light and dust)

✨ Results review (after 1 month)

The world changed to Full HD! Wake up no longer fumbling glasses. Life is 300% better. The first period may have dry or tired eyes. Have to wait for artificial tears and rest your eyes (we wear light filtering glasses when working on the computer). But life is much easier. Make up, do hair, exercise super convenient.

💰 worth it?

For us who are short-sighted for a long time, sometimes feel difficult wearing glasses and also like migraine headaches from wearing glasses all the time. It is very rewarding. Know this for a long time 🥹. It is considered an investment in the long-term quality of life for yourself. For those who are short-sighted / inclined and hesitant, try to check the eyes or consult a doctor first.
