Why am I so tired even when I’m trying?
My healing didn’t start when I added more habits.
It started when I stopped doing these things:
I stopped insulting myself in my own head
I stopped expecting progress without rest
I stopped comparing my timeline
I stopped punishing myself for “bad days”
I stopped thinking discipline had to feel harsh
That’s when things shifted.
Not because I became perfect.
But because I finally felt safe with myself.
Growth sticks when it feels safe 🤍
And that’s what we’re building here.
Which one are you working on letting go of?
From my own experience, I realized that pushing myself harder without addressing the root causes only led to more fatigue and frustration. The turning point came when I stopped being so hard on myself—ceasing the internal insults and giving myself permission to rest and heal. It's important to note that feeling tired despite trying often stems not just from physical exhaustion but from mental and emotional strain. When I stopped comparing my progress to others, I found a new sense of peace. I also learned that discipline doesn't have to be harsh or punitive; rather, it can be gentle and compassionate, which helps sustain long-term change. Rest became a crucial part of my recovery—not as a sign of weakness but as an essential ingredient for growth. This shift didn't happen overnight, but gradually, I built trust and safety within myself, which made my healing journey more effective. I encourage anyone feeling tired despite their efforts to reflect on whether they too are holding onto unhelpful beliefs like punishing themselves for having "bad days" or expecting immediate progress without rest. Letting go of these patterns can be liberating and make space for more positive energy. Remember, healing and growth thrive in environments where you feel safe and accepted by yourself. This internal safety net is the foundation for sustainable mental wellness and resilience. What self-critical thought or expectation are you willing to release today to feel a little less tired tomorrow?
