Where else should we snack in NYC!?

... Read moreExploring New York City's vibrant food scene is an adventure in itself, and when it comes to snacks, this city truly outdoes itself! Forget full meals; sometimes, the best way to experience NYC's culinary diversity is by hopping from one delicious bite to another. I've spent countless hours seeking out the most mouth-watering, unique snack experiences, and I'm so excited to share some of my absolute favorite finds with you. Let's kick things off in Brooklyn, specifically Williamsburg, where Esse Taco has completely stolen my heart. You absolutely have to try their Gringa tacos. Seriously, the combination of tender ribeye and perfectly melty cheese is just out of this world. Served with fresh guacamole and crispy tortilla chips on a metal tray, it's the perfect savory indulgence. The atmosphere there is always lively, making it a great stop for a quick, satisfying bite while exploring the neighborhood. Then, for a completely different flavor journey, you must head to Jackson Heights in Queens for Angel's butter chicken. It’s a dish that truly defines comfort food for me. The chicken is so tender, swimming in a rich, creamy sauce that’s garnished with fragrant herbs and a drizzle of red oil. Paired with warm, fluffy naan bread, it’s an unforgettable experience that transports your taste buds straight to culinary heaven. Queens is a goldmine for authentic international cuisine, and this spot is a shining example. No NYC snack tour would be complete without some pizza! Scarr's in Chinatown/Lower East Side serves up a 'Hotboi slice' that’s pure perfection. It’s thin, crispy, and packed with flavor – exactly what you want from a classic New York slice. While you're in Manhattan, don't miss out on the incredible sandwiches from Regina's Grocery. Their generously filled creations, bursting with deli meats, cheese, roasted peppers, and fresh greens, are perfect for sharing (or not!). And for something a little lighter but equally addictive, Kiki's crispy zucchini chips with tzatziki are a revelation. They also do amazing shrimp and steak, but those chips are a must-try! And for those with a sweet tooth (like me!), a recent collaboration between The Hive and PopUp Bagels in Greenwich Village introduced me to their blueberry pancake cinny rolls. Imagine a warm, fluffy bagel, generously spread with a luscious cream cheese frosting and crumble, tasting exactly like a blueberry pancake. It's an innovative, delightful treat that you absolutely need on your radar. Finding unique collaborations like this is one of the joys of snacking in NYC! My biggest tip for anyone planning their own NYC snack adventure? Wear comfortable shoes, be open to exploring different neighborhoods, and don't be afraid to try something new. From the savory delights of tacos and butter chicken to the comforting joy of a pizza slice or a unique sweet bagel, NYC's snack scene has something for everyone. What are your go-to snack spots? I’m always looking for new recommendations!
