Absolutely insane Indian feast!!!

One of our best meals this year is Musaafer that opened from Musaafer in Houston, Texas which received one Michelin star ⭐️ in 2025 … it’s absolutely stunning as well

Here’s what to order:

🌟apps: there leaned into the seafood lie tuna tartare and $50 caviar bite, lychee ceviche, paani puri, lamb chops, black onion, chipotle chicken tikka and omg the best one was the lamb birria tacos

🌟mains: BUTTER CHICKEN EXPERIENCE ($42) with a red tomato and tomatillo sauce, beef vindaloo, palak paneer, paneer rizala

🌟breads: garlic naan and cheese kulcha

🌟desserts: we tried all but the mushrooms over a pistachio cheesecake was great, or the chocolate rose with a table side show

So make this a priority to try in 2025 #indianfood #nyc #sistersnacking #newyorkcity #michelinstar

... Read moreMy visit to Musaafer in NYC was truly a journey, not just a meal. Stepping inside felt like being transported to another world. The opulent interior, with those breathtaking arched ceilings and sparkling chandeliers, immediately set a luxurious tone. I mean, they're in a historic landmark, and you can absolutely feel the grandeur! It's one of those places where the ambiance alone is worth the visit, making it perfect for a special occasion or just when you want to treat yourself to something truly spectacular. Now, let's talk food! While everything was incredible, if you only try one thing, make it the Nihari Birria Tacos. Trust me on this! These aren't your average tacos; they're an experience. The slow-braised lamb was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, and the presentation with fresh herbs and edible flowers was just stunning. Dipping them in that rich sauce? Pure bliss. I've heard so much about 'birria nihari' and these definitely lived up to the hype. Another standout for me was the Paneer Rizala. I'm a big paneer fan, and this dish offered such a unique and flavorful take on it. It wasn't just another paneer curry; it had a depth of flavor that really impressed us. And speaking of unique, those black onion appetizers were surprisingly delightful! They looked like little works of art and tasted even better. It's no wonder Musaafer received a Michelin star – every detail, from the warm white towels offered between courses to the intricate chocolate rose dessert with a tableside show, speaks to their commitment to an exceptional dining experience. Whether you're in Houston (where it originated) or visiting their Tribeca location in New York, it’s a culinary destination. The 'butter chicken experience' was also a revelation; a vibrant red tomato and tomatillo sauce that made it stand out from any other I've tried. They even had these artfully presented tuna tartare appetizers that were a burst of fresh flavors. Honestly, if you're looking for an Indian feast that goes beyond the ordinary, Musaafer is the place. It's truly one of the best meals I've had this year, and I'm already dreaming of my next visit. Don't forget to pair your meal with their amazing garlic naan and cheese kulcha – they're perfect for soaking up all those delicious sauces!
