Dottie
A couple of weeks ago I was driving home from my instacart delivery when a car ran a stop sign and I crashed into them. My car was damaged and I had hope that my car would come back.
Woke up this morning to find out my beautiful car also known as Dottie has been officially totaled because it cost more to repair it than to get a new car.
To my beautiful Dottie, thank you for saving my life that day and thank you for all the times we spent together. From the day I got you, to doing my first delivery job, till now.

Experiencing a car accident can be traumatic, as I learned firsthand when I crashed while delivering groceries. The emotional toll of losing a beloved vehicle like Dottie goes beyond the material loss. Vehicles often carry memories of life’s moments, providing us with independence and experiences that shape our lives. Choosing to repair or total a car often involves difficult decisions influenced by factors like repair costs, safety ratings, and the potential for future damages. In my case, Dottie saved my life, making the decision to let go even harder. Many car owners may find themselves in similar situations, contemplating their transportation needs and emotional attachments. It's crucial to recognize the importance of vehicle safety and to always prioritize avoiding risky situations on the road. Accidents serve as reminders to appreciate our vehicles, akin to friendships, for the memories they foster. For those facing a similar loss, consider sharing your own experiences to create a supportive community around automobile journeys. Whether it’s finding a new car or cherishing the memories of an old one, our vehicles matter.
