How do I Minimize Large Pores?
I have been working on being more intentional with finding products that target my problem areas.
I have been using products with Niacinamide and I haven’t seen a huge difference , even though it’s only been about 3 months.
I’m open to any suggestions!
Please let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions.

I’ve been on a journey to better manage my large pores as well, and I understand how frustrating it can be when products like niacinamide don’t produce immediate visible results. While niacinamide is a great ingredient known for improving skin barrier function and reducing inflammation, it often takes more than three months to see its full effects. In my experience, combining niacinamide with exfoliating acids like salicylic acid or glycolic acid can really enhance pore refinement. These acids help clear out the pores by removing dead skin cells and excess oil, which directly contributes to reducing pore size. Another product I found helpful is a toner containing ginseng extract. Ginseng has antioxidant and brightening properties that not only help in overall skin health but can also improve skin elasticity, making pores appear smaller. Applying a gentle ginseng toner after cleansing helps prepare the skin to absorb serums and moisturizers better. Consistency is key in any skincare routine. I recommend using a combination of gentle cleansing, exfoliation 2-3 times a week, targeted serums like those with niacinamide and vitamin C, and daily moisturizing to keep skin balanced. Also, don’t overlook sun protection; UV damage can worsen pore appearance and skin texture. Lastly, some treatments like professional chemical peels or laser therapy can offer more immediate improvements but should be considered after consulting with a dermatologist. Pore size is mostly genetic, so you can’t truly “shrink” them, but you can make them look smaller. Ingredients like retinoids and salicylic acid tend to be more effective than niacinamide alone because they help with cell turnover and keep pores clear. Consistent sunscreen is also key, since sun damage can make pores appear larger over time. Niacinamide can still help with oil control, but it’s usually not enough on its own. The biggest difference comes from a consistent routine and managing oil and buildup rather than expecting pores to disappear completely. Hope this helps!! Not medical advice 😉
