Tips to Start Your Running Journey🏃🏻♀️
First of all, the start of a running journey is never easy. It's still not easy for me, but here are tips that have helped me as a beginner!🫶🏼
I didn't realize carb heavy meals (once digested) can give LOADS of energy for your runs. I did my best run after having a millers meltdown (chicken fingers and fries with cheese). Take it to your advantage!🍟
Other than the fact that fast food can be used to your advantage, it is not good to have it for every meal. Focus on eating clean to give your body the proper nutrients!🥬
Omg the nike run club app is amazing. Just start a guided run, its so good!🏃🏻♀️
Start jogging so slow that you would be embarassed of it haha, it really does help build form and endurance! Good luck!🫶🏼✨

Starting a running journey can be daunting, but with the right approach and mindset, you can make it enjoyable and rewarding. One crucial aspect to consider is nutrition. Consuming carbohydrate-rich meals before a run can significantly boost your energy levels. Items like pasta or rice before your workout can provide the necessary fuel for better performance. However, it's important to balance your diet with clean and nutritious foods to maintain overall health and energy. Additionally, utilizing technology can enhance your running experience. The Nike Run Club app offers guided runs and coaching, making it excellent for beginners who may feel overwhelmed. The app helps you set goals and track your progress, offering motivation along the way. When starting to run, remember that it’s okay to begin at a slow pace. Embrace a comfortable speed that allows you to build your form and breathing gradually. This not only helps prevent injuries but also makes the process enjoyable. Many seasoned runners recommend starting with walking intervals, gradually transitioning into a jogging phase as your endurance improves. Finally, consider joining running groups or online communities. Engaging with others who share your running goals can provide encouragement, tips, and a sense of camaraderie. Whether you're looking to compete or simply enjoy leisurely runs, the support from like-minded individuals can be incredibly beneficial on your running journey.
