Soft nursing things 🥰🫶✨
Working as a 1:1 LVN nurse in a school environment has been one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. One particular aspect I focus on is administering bolus feedings to my student right in the classroom. This ensures she receives her necessary nutrition without missing out on lessons or social interactions. It’s all about soft nursing—providing care that is both effective and considerate of the student’s daily routine. Soft nursing involves adapting to the patient’s lifestyle and emotional needs, not just their physical health. For example, I plan feeding times around class schedules and maintain discretion to preserve the student's dignity among peers. This approach has greatly enhanced the student’s comfort and cooperation. Additionally, being a 1:1 nurse means building strong trust and understanding with the student, allowing me to anticipate needs and respond quickly. I use this time to teach self-care techniques where appropriate, encouraging independence while still providing essential medical support. Overall, this role requires compassion, attention to detail, and flexibility. The experience has deepened my appreciation for how crucial personalized, soft nursing care is in supporting young patients in educational settings.
