FREDDY REWORK TIP YOU NEED TO SEE!
FREDDY REWORK TIP YOU NEED TO SEE! #deadbydaylight #dbd
Hey fellow Dead by Daylight killers! I know the Freddy Rework initially felt a bit… different, but I've been experimenting, and I've found a game-changing tip that seriously elevates his gameplay. If you've been struggling to get consistent downs or feel like you're not utilizing his power enough, this little trick with his Dream Snares is a must-try. The core of it is simple: you want to CHARGE DREAM SNARE QUICK and then RELEASE DREAM SNARE strategically. Many players just tap the power button, deploying a snare immediately. But by holding it down briefly, you charge it up, increasing its effective radius and making it much harder for survivors to avoid. This isn't just about placing more powerful snares; it's about controlling crucial areas on the map. I've found great success placing charged snares around generators, exit gates, and even popular loop spots. When a survivor triggers one, they're instantly slowed, giving you that precious second to bridge the gap and get a hit. It’s particularly effective when paired with his Dream Projection, letting you quickly teleport to a gen, drop a charged snare, and immediately start a chase. Beyond this specific tip, understanding Freddy’s reworked kit is key. His ability to pull survivors into the Dream World and his map pressure with Dream Projection are his strengths. The Dream Snares, especially when charged, become an extension of this map control, forcing survivors to make difficult choices. They either trigger the snare and get slowed, or they waste time trying to avoid it, buying you valuable seconds. Now, for builds! Since the dbd freddy builds query is common, here are a couple I've found highly effective with this strategy: Gen-Stalling & Slowdown Build: Pop Goes the Weasel: Kicking a gen after a hook instantly removes 25% of its progress. This synergizes perfectly with your map pressure from Dream Projection and charged snares, allowing you to quickly down a survivor, hook them, pop a nearby gen, and then return to patrol. Corrupt Intervention: Blocks the three furthest generators at the start of the trial. This funnels survivors towards you, making your early game snare placements even more devastating. Save the Best for Last: Reduces cooldown on successful attacks when hitting non-Obsession survivors. This helps you end chases faster, especially after a snare slowdown, and maintain pressure. Deadlock: After a generator is completed, the generator with the most progress is blocked for 30 seconds. More slowdown to complement your snares. Chase & Anti-Loop Build: Save the Best for Last: (Again, it's just that good for M1 killers!) Bamboozle: Vaulting a window or pallet blocks it for survivors. Combine this with a charged snare at a loop, and survivors have very few options. Enduring / Spirit Fury: Enduring reduces stun duration, and Spirit Fury consumes a pallet after you're stunned (if you have enough tokens). This combo lets you break pallets quickly, especially after a snare has slowed them down and forced a pallet drop. Lethal Pursuer: Extends the aura reading duration of all perks and add-ons by 2 seconds. Great for finding survivors quickly at the start, allowing you to set up your initial snares effectively. Remember, Freddy’s power is all about control and prediction. By mastering the quick charge of your Dream Snares and pairing it with smart perk choices, you’ll find yourself getting much more consistent pressure and hooks. Give it a try in your next trial – you might surprise yourself and the survivors!
