Answers from the Lord
Someone upset me yesterday and I was too angry to respond in the moment so I shut down like I usually do. It bothered me all night. I prayed about it, read my Bible, and “gave it to God”. Well I thought I did. And then this morning I find myself wanting to text the person to let them know how I felt. Why? I had to have the last word. I had to “win” the argument. That is UNTIL I read this. I will do what the Lord says, and be quiet lol. God literally told me to be quiet this morning 😂 Bet 🤫🤐 #godisbiggerthananyofmyproblems #praythroughit #godisteachingme #bequiet
When faced with feelings of anger, it can be difficult to strike the right balance between suppressing emotions and expressing them impulsively. The Bible teaches us about managing anger righteously, emphasizing the importance of reflection before action, as seen in Ephesians 4:26-27, which warns against giving the devil a foothold through prolonged bitterness. The teachings of David highlight how to address anger without sinning; it's pivotal to speak to God about our challenges instead of seeking revenge. Connecting with God through prayer not only fosters forgiveness but also helps in nurturing a turbulent spirit. During moments of conflict, remember to breathe, seek God's wisdom, and embrace the strength found in silence. The journey towards controlling one's reactions is guided by faith, ultimately leading to inner peace and understanding.
