Job 1-5
What I learned today that I didn’t previously pick up from reading Job, is that sometimes silence is the best answer.
✨Friendship: Sometimes it’s best to sit with a friend and be silent as they struggle with life. There is no good advice because we don’t know all the different aspects of their lives. Encourage them to take their grievances to the Lord and don’t assume you KNOW what’s happening.
✨Pain: It’s ok to vent to friends and family but it’s not better than venting to the Lord. I want to start running to him FIRST. Explaining to him that I’m hurt or confused or that I don’t understand why he’s allowing me to go through this. After all is said and done I want to remember to trust in his plan. I don’t need to understand I just need to trust.
✨God is in control. He may not be the one who initiates our pain or suffering but he IS with you during it and he ultimately controls how far it goes. NOTHING is out of his hands. No adversary is stronger than him.
We serve a POWERFUL 💪🏽 God.
I have comfort in knowing that I have someone like that in my corner and knowing that anything that I go through can be used by him for good 🫂

I've been reading the book of Job myself. I've been crying bc i realize just bc im a good person and i do no wrong, doesn't mean bad things aren't going to happen. I've asked God to humble a little more and stay gracious 🥹
