#todolist

Our travel day was so long yesterday 😵‍💫 we had 4 flights and three connections, one of which was getting off one plane to immediately get on another🥲.

Do you like traveling through airports? I usually do when our layovers are longer and we can people watch ✈️🛩️

Unpacking is usually the first task—and it can be surprisingly daunting after a long trip with multiple flights. A helpful tip is to set a timer for 15-20 minutes to unpack efficiently without feeling overwhelmed. This way, the task feels manageable. You might notice your sleep schedule is off, especially after flights with multiple connections and jet lag. Gradually adjusting your bedtime and morning routine back to your usual schedule helps your body reset faster. Consider some light exposure in the morning to help regulate your circadian rhythm. Laundry is another common chore that piles up. Instead of doing it all at once, break it into smaller loads spread over a couple of days. This approach avoids the stress of marathon laundry sessions. Grocery shopping post-trip provides an opportunity to restock on fresh ingredients for healthy meals, aiding in rebalancing your energy after travel. Planning simple recipes for the first few days back can ease the transition. Lastly, acknowledge that procrastination is normal after a tiring trip. Allow yourself small breaks between tasks and reward progress to stay motivated. Embracing these small steps can make the end-of-vacation routine more manageable and less stressful.
