... Read moreFrom personal experience, embracing sabr truly transforms the way we face difficulties. Life inevitably presents tests—whether loss, hardship, or unexpected changes—and accepting these moments patiently, as taught by Islamic wisdom, brings a unique calm to the soul. One key insight I’ve gained is understanding that 'accept first,' as highlighted in the teachings, means we must acknowledge the challenge without resistance. This doesn’t mean passive resignation but a mindful acceptance paired with proactive effort ('we endeavor first'). By combining patience with sincere prayer and trust in Allah’s plan, I’ve found that burdens become lighter over time. Moreover, the concept that "everyone has a test" reminds us that hardship is universal. This shared experience fosters empathy and removes feelings of isolation. When I meditate on this, it helps me to stay grounded, knowing I’m part of a larger human journey. In practice, turning to prayer when overwhelmed or uncertain has been a powerful tool. The idea of bringing one’s worries to salat (prayer) and presenting heartfelt requests cultivates hope and resilience. It feels as if a spiritual connection uplifts and assures that the difficulties are temporary and purposeful. Finally, patience is accompanied by the promise that all sincere pleas and efforts will be answered, and hardships alleviated. This belief fuels motivation to remain hopeful instead of yielding to despair. My journey with sabr is ongoing, but each trial that I accept patiently strengthens my faith and emotional well-being. If you are navigating your own tests, I encourage embracing sabr as a means to find peace and spiritual growth.

👍👍That is a beautiful sentiment to carry through the month. Ramadan is just as much about character and heart as it is about fasting. Kindness during this time acts as a "multiplier" for the peace people feel while fasting. It’s a reminder that even when energy is low or patience is teste

The day of light. The day of mercy. The day our hearts remember what the world often makes us forget: That Allah never leaves us. As children, we awaited Friday for its promise of rest. But as we grow in understanding, we realise that Friday is no ordinary day — it is the best day on which t

Have Sabr✨
Tonight… you came home, and you just couldn’t hold it in anymore. You smiled all day. You laughed. You made conversation. You played your part. But when the door closed behind you, so did your strength. And in the silence of your room, you broke. Your knees hit the floor. And you wept —

In A Blink Of An Eye
“The days are long, but the years are short.” A saying I never truly reflected on—until now. Until I sat in stillness one day and realised… Being 16 was a decade ago. SubhanAllah. How time slips through our fingers without us even noticing. I blinked—and suddenly, I’m 26. Closer to 30 than

‘Why are religious people often tested?’
“Why does it feel like the closer I get to Allah, the harder life becomes?” I used to wonder too. Until I began giving up what I loved for the One I love most. I walked away from what was haram. I learned to pray on time. I took off what didn’t belong to modesty. I began talking to Allah mo

In Times of Grief & Sorrow
We’ve all felt it — grief and sorrow. The kind that keeps you awake at night. The kind that makes you feel like you’re falling, and no one’s there to catch you. Like you’re in a dark tunnel with no light. Like you’re drifting at sea, with no land in sight. That’s how grief feels to me: never

The phrase "Allah will not test you beyond what you can bear" comes from the Quran (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:286) and means that Allah (SWT) knows your limits and only gives trials you are capable of handling, encouraging patience, faith, and reliance on Him for strength to overcome difficulties, which c
