Time moves on quietly, almost imperceptibly, taking us along with it without pause or sound. This silent passage makes me aware that my remaining days are precious and limited. I find myself reflecting deeply on the impermanence of life. In moments of stillness, I am overcome with thoughts about the brevity of our time in this world and the certainty that we will all eventually be called back to face our Creator. The verses and phrases from my spiritual tradition echo in my heart, reminding me of the transient nature of existence: "Waktu berjalan tanpa suara" (time walks without a sound), "umur yang tersisa" (the remaining age), and "Tak selamanya tinggal di dunia" (not forever residing in this world). This awareness has stirred a mix of emotions, including fear and hope. Fear stems from wondering if I have sufficiently prepared for this inevitable journey—"Sudah cukupkah bekalku" (Have I prepared enough for my journey?). Hope arises from faith in a greater plan and the mercy of Allah, as expressed in the powerful declarations like "Allah is the greatest" and "Allahu Akbar," phrases that ground me in trust and surrender. In my personal experience, embracing this spiritual consciousness has fostered a deeper appreciation for each breath and every moment. It encourages me to live with intention, kindness, and gratitude, knowing that these qualities enrich not only my life but also the lives of others around me. Ultimately, this reflective approach has helped me reconcile the fear of the unknown with a newfound peace. Knowing that I am preparing for the journey "Ke hadapan-Mu nanti" (to Your presence later) motivates me to focus on what truly matters. It’s a calling to live not just for today, but with eternity in mind, cherishing the time given and striving to leave a positive legacy. Embracing these feelings isn't always easy, but sharing them with others can create a supportive community where we remind each other of the importance of faith, self-reflection, and preparation for the future. I encourage anyone who feels the weight of this realization to take a moment to reflect and find comfort in knowing we are all travelers on this passage together.
