But lately, I've been refining what I call my 'Denari setups' – strategies that have seriously boosted my win rate and saved us from those frustrating rounds where OPPONENTS FOUND THE BOMBS too easily! For anyone looking to elevate their game, especially on defense, these setups focus on smart utility placement, effective reinforcement, and holding crucial angles. It's all about making the attackers waste their utility and time before they even get a chance to plant. I remember one specific match where we WON ROUND 8 thanks almost entirely to a solid setup in B Boiler Room, which is often a tough spot to hold. Let's dive into the B Boiler Room setup, which is one of my favorites. This site needs strong denial and multiple angles. First, reinforce the two walls leading into Boiler from T.V. Room and the two external walls on the south side. This creates a more secure bomb site. Next, consider placing a deployable shield or a Goyo shield near the entrance from Aqua or directly in front of the bomb to create a safe plant denial spot. Barbed wire or a Melusi Banshee are excellent for slowing pushes through the main door from the outside balcony and the window overlooking the site. I always try to have someone holding the long angle from T.V. Room towards the Boiler door, while another anchors directly on site, ready to contest a plant. Communication is key here; calling out pushes from Aqua, Hookah, or the main entrance can make all the difference. While Boiler Room is a prime example, the principles of these 'Denari setups' can be applied across Coastline. For sites like Hookah/Billiards, controlling the central area and denying pushes from the main entrance and the outside balcony is crucial. Reinforcing the walls between Hookah and Billiards, and the external wall in Hookah, creates a more defensible space. Operators with crowd control or intel gadgets work wonders here. Think about using a Mute jammer to deny drones or Thermite charges on key walls, or a Jäger ADS to protect against grenades clearing your utility. My personal playstyle with these setups involves a mix of anchoring and shallow roaming. Sometimes, I'll hold a pixel angle from the T.V. Room looking into Boiler, and other times, I'll play a slightly more aggressive role, focusing on denying the initial push and falling back to the site. The goal is always to make the attackers burn their resources – drones, grenades, and time – before they can get a solid hold. These strategies, often inspired by what I've seen in pro play or even just messing around with my squad, really make a difference. It's all about making the attackers waste their utility before they even get near the bomb. Hope these 'Denari' insights help you get to MATCH POINT more often! I even made a quick recap video of one of these wins using CapCut!
