If you were to ask me what I’m afraid of…

2024/7/8 Edited to

... Read moreYou know, when I first started my adventures in Skyrim, I thought dragons were the scariest thing out there. Boy, was I wrong! After countless hours exploring every nook and cranny, I can definitively say that nothing makes my heart pound quite like stumbling into a nest of Falmer. That last image, showing their pale skin and blind eyes in a dark, stone dungeon background, perfectly captures what makes them so unnerving. I remember my first real encounter so vividly. It was in a deep Dwemer ruin, the air thick with an eerie silence. Suddenly, those chittering sounds started, and out of the shadows came a group of Falmer, wielding poisoned weapons. Their movements were jerky, unpredictable, and their blind eyes just added to the horror. It really made me wonder: how did they become like this? And why are Falmer so strong despite their obvious disadvantages? The lore of the Falmer is truly tragic, and understanding it only makes them more compelling—and terrifying. They weren't always these monstrous, blind creatures. The Falmer before were actually the Snow Elves, a proud and sophisticated race. They faced extinction at the hands of the Nords and sought refuge with the Dwemer, only to be betrayed. The Dwemer forced them to consume a fungus that gradually robbed them of their sight and intelligence, turning them into the vicious, subterranean dwellers we know today. This transformation, from the regal Snow Elves to the grotesque Falmer *after*, is one of the darkest tales in Tamriel. Their strength isn't just about raw power; it's about adaptation and sheer numbers. Living in those dark, claustrophobic Falmer ruins for centuries has honed their other senses. They rely on sound and smell, making stealth a perilous gamble. Their poisons are incredibly potent, quickly draining your health or stamina, and they often attack in large groups, overwhelming even experienced adventurers. I’ve had many moments where I thought I was ready for them, only to be swarmed by a dozen of them, their chaurus pets joining the fray. If you're brave (or foolish, like me) enough to venture into Falmer territory, be prepared. Some of the most notorious Falmer ruins in Skyrim include Blackreach, the Forgotten Vale, and any number of the deeper Dwemer strongholds like Mzinchaleft or Alftand. Always carry plenty of antidotes or healing potions, and consider using light sources to disrupt their senses, though they adapt quickly. Spells like Fireball or Chain Lightning can be incredibly effective against groups, and a good shield is essential for blocking their poisoned attacks. Their new creature animations just make them even more dynamic and frightening to fight. It’s a strange thing, but even with all the fear they inspire, there's a part of me that's always drawn back to exploring their dark dwellings. Maybe it's the challenge, or perhaps it's the lingering mystery of their tragic past. Whatever it is, the Falmer remain, for me, the true nightmares of Skyrim.

Okay, picture this: a book gets *banned*. Like, literally someone out there said, "Nope, this is too much. We can't handle these ideas." It's like the literary equivalent of getting grounded, but on a whole other level! 😂 I've always been a bit of a rebel when it comes to boo

ASK THE QUESTIONS!!!!
Ask the questions, even if they’re silly. At the end of the day, we’re paying so much for our education that no one should be dictating what you do or don’t ask. It’s unfair to you, and it’s a disservice to the degree you’re obtaining if you feel afraid to ask something because of others. #moti
