I’m not a good person, here’s why
I might get some hate but someone has to say it. I’m not a good person. ~BUT~ there is GOOD NEWS at the end 🙌🏼
The world wants to believe they are a good person, when in fact the opposite is true. No one wants to be told that they are a bad person, when the fact is, it’s true 😢 We might say things like “I’m not as bad as that person”. But I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a lying, disobeying, adulterous thief. The thing is though, we all are!! The Bible says “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23. This isn’t the worst part, the worst part is in Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death”. 😟 We all are deserving of death.
THE GOOD NEWS~ God came down to earth in human form, whose name is Jesus. He lived the perfect, sinless life that no one on earth could ever live. He willingly bore Gods wrath on the cross, the penalty we all deserve. He rose from death after being dead for 3 days. And said John 3:16 “Whoever believes in me shall not perish but have eternal life". See, Jesus ✝️ (God in flesh) paid the penalty of sin that we all deserve, that it is by faith in Him alone that redeems us, where we can live on earth with a completed heart and eternally with our wonderful creator.
So yes, we are all bad people. But when we surrender our life to Jesus he gives us a new heart, a heart that desires true goodness (Him) and not things this world has to offer.
Many people struggle with the concept of being a 'good' person, often comparing themselves to others. This article dives deep into self-reflection and acceptance of our imperfections. The Bible emphasizes that all have sinned; Romans 3:23 reminds us that 'for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.' The questions posed in the OCR content—about telling lies, stealing, and disobeying—serve as a reflective test for readers. They illustrate that everyone has flaws, which can lead to a sense of guilt or unworthiness. However, understanding that we all fall short can be the first step toward spiritual growth. In moments of self-doubt, it's essential to remember the message of hope in Christianity. God's grace, as detailed in John 3:16, assures us that believing in Jesus grants us eternal life. This belief fosters a relationship with a loving Creator, promising transformation and the opportunity for a renewed heart that seeks goodness. Ultimately, the message here is twofold: while we all acknowledge our failings, embracing faith allows us to rise above them, highlighting the beauty of redemption and the importance of community support in our spiritual journeys.
