I decorated my first cake…

So I’ve always loved baking and making sweets. My coworkers last day was the other day, so I decided to make her a goodbye cake! I’ve made cakes at home, but this was my FIRST cake I was presenting to a group of people. Everyone loved it! From baking to decorating, it took me 6 hours in between putting it in the fridge and baking the buttercream icing 😩

After everything, I realized things I could’ve done differently. I shouldn’t have cut so much of the cake off, I should’ve gave myself more time, cut the stencil to fit the cake better, make more icing than you’ll think you’ll need, practice your writing, get the correct piping tools, go to hobby lobby and Michael’s for great baking supplies. If anyone has tips, I would greatly appreciate it🫶🏽
