For anyone new to the concept, an 'OC' simply means 'Original Character.' In the world of Gorilla Tag, creating an OC is super fun because it lets you dive deep into your imagination and bring a new gorilla (or creature!) to life within the game's universe. It's not just about picking a color; it's about giving them a personality, a backstory, and in my case, some really cool, unique abilities! My inspiration for the Sleepwalker came from wanting to create something visually striking and conceptually interesting. As you can see from my design, she's a mysterious purple furry creature, complete with horns and glowing elements that give her a sort of ethereal, 'galaxy color' vibe. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to make her stand out, not just in appearance but in how she interacts with the game world. What would make her truly unique? That's where her special ability, 'Sleep Deprivation,' came in. I imagined her having this incredible power where she can make other gorillas tired and weak just by a yawn! It's not about being aggressive; it's about a subtle, almost magical influence. The OCR descriptions helped me visualize this: she's naturally fast, so slowing down opponents with drowsiness would make her even more formidable. Imagine trying to tag someone who's making you feel groggy – it adds a whole new layer to the game! Beyond that, I envisioned her with heightened senses, perhaps even flight, strength, speed, and immunity, making her a truly powerful presence. These traits make her much more than just a typical player character; she's a force to be reckoned with. When you're creating your own Gorilla Tag OC, think about more than just their look. What's their story? How do their abilities fit into the game? For instance, with the Sleepwalker, I started with an 'OC base' design and then built her powers around her theme. Would she be a hero, a villain, or a neutral observer? And how would her abilities, like 'Sleep Deprivation,' manifest in gameplay? Maybe it's an area-of-effect yawn, or a targeted ability. And for those wondering about the 'gtag infection au' concept – I think the Sleepwalker could fit perfectly! In an infection scenario, her ability to weaken and slow down infected players (or even non-infected ones to protect her allies) would be incredibly strategic. She wouldn't necessarily be an 'infected' herself, but perhaps a guardian or a unique entity trying to maintain balance, using her powers to subtly influence the flow of the game.
